Kathryn “Kathy” Kay (Coyne) Andreasen

April 10, 1946 ~ May 13, 2026

Kathryn “Kathy” Kay (Coyne) Andreasen, age 80 of Micco, FL, passed away peacefully at home with family and friends on May 13, 2026. Kathy was born April 10, 1946, the daughter of Cornelius “CJ” Coyne and Mildred (Johnson) Coyne. Kathy grew up above her parent’s meat market in Roslyn, South Dakota where she was a proud member of the class of 1964.

After high school, she attended cosmetology school before moving to Colorado, where she spent many years and fell in love with the beauty of the mountains. She later returned to Minnesota to be closer to family and eventually retired to Florida.

Kathy was incredibly creative and had a passion for painting and ceramics, even keeping her own kiln in the basement for her many ceramic projects. In her retirement years, she enjoyed staying active through her church and volunteering at the local food bank. Kathy’s other great joys in life were her dog, Cousteau, and great niece and nephew Alix and Ian Gacek, spending time with them making crafts or making hearty comfort meals like beef stew. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her stubborn spirit, and the deep love she had for her family, friends, and faith.

Kathy is survived by Bill (Cindy) Jensen of Micco, FL, Robert (Joyce) Coyne of Webster, SD and brother in-law Howard Kleven of Elk River, MN, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Connie Kleven, brother Mike Coyne and brother and sister in-law Duane and Margie Jensen; her parents, CJ and Mildred Coyne; nieces Rhonda Coyne and Brenda (Kleven) Gacek.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida in Kathy’s memory.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
