Regina “Gina” Raymond

March 14, 1945 ~ June 26, 2026

On June 26, 2026, the Heavens parted to allow Gina Raymond to go directly to the waiting arms of our Lord.

Gina was born in Exeter, Pennsylvania to Adam and Edith Vitcusky.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vito, of 32 years, a prominent businessman in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area of Pennsylvania.

They both loved to travel and did so extensively. Gina and Vito made Vero Beach their permanent home after many years of wintering and summering between Vero Beach and the Pocono Mountains.

Gina was a kind and gentle soul whose original poetry was worthy of publication. She lived life to the fullest and was generous to a fault. To know Gina, was truly to adore her.

It was in Vero Beach that the Raymonds owned and operated Jasmine’s, an upscale boutique where Gina’s impeccable taste was evident. The business was named in honor of their beloved poodle.

Gina leaves behind her sisters, Ann Christopher, Dr. Liz, and Bernice Shore (Robert) of Hatboro, Pennsylvania; stepchildren Richard (Shirlee) of New York City, Gerald, of Scranton, Pennsylvania, and Vito Jr. of Florida; along with a very special cousin, Lisa Scartelli (Robert Dickey), and special cousin Walter Jera, of Bear Creek Township, Pennsylvania.

Some of Gina’s friends who became adopted sisters are Julie Cape, of Vero Beach; Beverly Taylor, of Exeter, Pennsylvania; and Ruth Ann Meade, of Canada. And a heartfelt thank you Gina’s special cousin and spiritual advisor, Joseph Scartelli and his wife Karol of Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.

Gina’s family wishes to thank the staff and volunteers of VNA, Vero Beach, for their outstanding care and compassion. She will be greatly missed by all for her love, generosity, and compassion for people and for animals.

If ever you should find yourself doubting the existence of angels… just remember Gina.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
