Anita Maria Egan

March 03, 1943 ~ January 15, 2025

Anita Maria Egan, 81, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida was born March 3, 1943 in Waterbury, Connecticut. She “graduated” to her final home with Jesus on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

She leaves behind her husband William Egan and four children she loved dearly… Kenneth Dickson of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Kirk Dickson of Apopka, Florida, Kimberlee Thomas of Lady Lake, Florida, and Kelly Hansell of Haines City, Florida, and also a very special niece Sandra Menard who resides in Maine.

Anita leaves behind eleven grandchildren, Keoni, Justin, Michael, Kaitlin, Danielle, Abigail, Brenda, Dillon, Bryce, Jarrett, and John; and five great-grandchildren, Mikah, Layla, Hunter, Eli, and Blakeleigh Ann
Anita was a devoted and faithful Christian, attending Christ Fellowship in Port Saint Lucie. Those who knew Anita found her to be a prayer warrior that shared the gospel through her daily interaction with everyone she came in contact with… and if you were a believer, you had better have your Armor on.

The core of her being rested in her love of her Creator. Her heritage was Italian, and she loved to cook and would always welcome and manage to feed everyone, even surprise visitors.

Anita will be remembered for her generosity, love of people and her readiness to stop and pray for anyone who asked or had a need.
If anyone wants to do something in Anita’s memory, she requested that you pick up your Bible, read it daily and pray for others. That’s how she lived her life and that would honor her now.

The passing of my cousin Anita brings sadness, but also great joy that she has graduated to the Kingdom of the Lord. Growing up with her and our Cousin Al in Connecticut was as special as it was unforgettable. The three of us more like siblings than cousins. What adventures we had.

Best of all is how despite some of life’s difficulties she became a wonderfully spiritual person and true believer in Jesus. As a true payer warrior and teacher she helped Jen and I so much with our faith. Thank you so much for that.

We look forward to once again being with you in God’s kingdom.

Anita’s legacy is vast and touches many lives. I know me and my family were greatly impacted by her walk and faith. She is a true example of a follower of Jesus and I am confident she is enjoying heaven right now. She gladly lived with a selfless and “others-first” worldview. May the Lord raise up many more prayer warriors like Miss Anita…we need them.

It was an honor to know a woman of God, such as Anita. We were friends. We would go out to lunch together often and we always, and it never failed; we would talk to several people about Jesus and going to the house of God before we left the restaurant. I remember the first time I visited her house and she wanted to show me her prayer room. I stepped inside this room, looking around at all the beautiful God stuff she had there, and I said to her Anita I feel the presence of God in here it’s beautiful!! That’s where she spent hours praying and worshiping God and I could feel it as soon as I stepped inside the room. I have one beautiful comfort from all of this with her passing and not being with us anymore at this time. When I heard she had passed on Wednesday night at 5:56 PM during revival. I immediately went to the altar and meltdown and my heart just poured out so much and I was so heartbroken. The Holy Spirit Spoke to my broken heart and said to me “she has made eternity for eternity!! She is with Jesus for eternity”. That brought a smile to my face. She has the victory. No one can take it away from her. I look forward to seeing her again and sharing our thoughts and our love for Jesus. Hallelujah Anita, my precious sister of God you made it girl!! I miss you, but I am so happy you’re with Jesus until we meet again.❤️Ms. Bonnie

I enjoyed watching sister Anita pray for every seat at 6:30am before church started on Sunday mornings. She was so faithful and filled with grace. God has indeed blessed us with an angel. I had an opportunity to be in the last freedom class with her on Monday nights. She has kept the faith and ran her race. Sleep in peace dear sister.

Anita was a beautiful person and
mighty women of God . She lead by example how to be the hands and feet of Jesus . We had many conversations about our personal testimonies of Gods goodness. It is so comforting to know she’s in the arms of Jesus ! I will miss her .

I extend my deepest sympathies for the passing of our dear sister in Christ Anita. While we mourn her absence here on earth, we rejoice in the hope that she is now in the presence of our Lord, where there is no more pain or sorrow. Her faith, kindness, and love will always be remembered. And yes she gave me an Armor of God bracelet, I will treasure it forever.

It was a real pleasure meeting Anita. We had some great conversations and some great laughter we shared some stories together why she was in the care facility she even helped me get through some stuff. I really never met the woman until I started seeing it on the chat and got touch my heart and I decided to go visit her a couple of times I even went on Christmas Day to wish her a merry Christmas. I went there on New Year’s Day, but she was moved to the hospital. Every time I went to go visit her she had a big smile on her face to see me. I was so blessed to meet her in person, and now she had moved on to another chapter in her life so she can start praying for people up in heaven, in the name of Jesus I will never forget you, Anita till we meet again amen

In Loving Memory of Anita

Anita’s life was a beautiful example of unwavering faith and true worship. Her love for God shined through in everything she did, and her devotion always inspired me to walk closer to Him. I am eternally thankful and wiser for having walked in her path, as she led with grace, love, and a heart full of worship.

Though my heart aches at her passing, I have no doubt that she is now blissfully happy, worshiping our one true God in heaven, just as she always longed to. Her legacy of faith will forever live on in the lives she touched.

Until we meet again, sweet friend. ❤️

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
