Anthony Edward Lovitt

July 08, 1966 ~ March 23, 2022

Anthony Edward Lovitt, 55, of Vero Beach, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at his home.

Anthony was born July 8, 1966 in Cincinatti, Ohio to Stanley and Jaqueline (nee Davis) Lovitt. He recently relocated to Vero Beach from Stuart. During his time in Vero he began attending the Oceans Unite Christian Centre and joined the American Legion Post 39.  For over 35 years he worked as an autobody repairman and painter. He started in the business as a teenager and continued to hone his craft throughout the years.

Anthony was a patriot. His proudest personal accomplishment was serving his country in the United States Navy. During his time in the Navy he served as a Aviation Machinists Mate. His family plans to honor his service to our country by placing him at the South Florida National Cemetery at a later date.

He was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan. Even before the Tom Brady days. Brady’s joining the team only increased Anthony’s excitement for the team. Anthony also was a fan of music. Not only hearing it, but playing it as well. He was an accomplished guitarist and vocalist. He was a member of several bands throughout the years and performed locally here on the Treasure Coast. Anthony wasn’t the type to be content as someone’s backup singer and would usually take on the role as lead vocals.

Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Stanley R. Lovitt.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Jackie Lovitt of Vero Beach; son, Dallas Lovitt of South Carolina; brothers, Paul Lovitt (Lynda Phillips) and Scott Lovitt (Sherry Raulerson) both of Fort Pierce; friend, Billie Jeanne Crouse of North Carolina; and his life long best friend, (Trooper) Leonard McVey of Hot Springs, AR.

He will be inurned at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida. He will be remembered and loved for the unique man that he was. Stories that can be shared and maybe more that cannot (depending on the company you keep) will continue to be told to keep him that much closer to us until we go to meet him again.

so very sorry for your loss.
I worked with Anthony for ten years and got to know him well. We use to play a game where we would mention a few words from a song and you would have to guess the tune , it became a great time and he learned songs from my era and I learned some from him.
He use to bring his guitar to work and play some songs at lunch and me and the wife would go to hear him play at local clubs. I didn’t get to see him much after I got cancer and quit working. Now I find out my friend lost the battle of his life to Cancer. CANCER SUCKS
I’ll see you in heaven Ant.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
