September 02, 1950 ~ May 17, 2024

Anthony “Tony” Joseph Potenza, 73 of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away Friday, May 17, 2024 at home surrounded by family.

Tony was born September 2, 1950 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Michael A. and Marie N. Potenza. He was a graduate of Bishop Egan High School in Levittown, PA. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Rider College, now Rider University, in Lawrence Township, New Jersey.

Tony had been an active member of Saint David Catholic Church in Davie where he was very active in their carnivals. He took great pleasure in helping to contribute to its success.
He was also a lifelong fan of Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies. Tony took a lot of pride in his teams, win or lose but his biggest pride was his “hon bun”, Amanda. Tony also was a big fan of Saint Thomas Aquinas High School where one of his greatest pleasures was to cheer the team and watch Amanda on the field with color guard.

Tony and Pat enjoyed their many vacations over the years and the time they spent on golf courses around the country.

Surviving Tony are his wife of 50 years, Patricia “Pat” A.; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Daniel; other family members include John Caselli and wife, Lita and Robert Potenza and wife Patricia. He is also survived by a nephew Todd and his family in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.

Oh Tony, you and Pat were my favorite part of Friday or Saturday nights at Ggs. I made sure the first thing I did when I arrived at work was put your mugs in the freezer and your beers on ice. I always enjoyed our conversations and you always made sure to ask how I was doing. It wasn’t a Friday or a Saturday night until I saw you and Pat walk in and sit at your favorite table. Over the years I got to share in your family stories and work stories and you would listen to mine. I especially loved to hear how much you enjoyed your trips to Disney lol. You always made me feel not just like your waitress but part of your family. Pat, I send you my deepest condolences and I will keep you in my prayers. You will be missed Tony.

Pat, Amanda and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Tony was a wonderfully kind man. For all the time I knew him on the Saint Dabid campus, he always had a smile and a hello…and he always asked if we needed anything, especially creamers! He will be missed by many. May his memory be a blessing

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
