Bernice Morneault

February 13, 1936 ~ June 02, 2026

On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, Bernice Frances Terry Morneault had died peacefully at the age of 90 surrounded by family. Fran was a founding member of Golden Ponds in Fort Pierce, FL where she had lived for nearly 30 years. Yet, she was always proud of her New England roots.
She was pre- deceased by her husband  of 68 years, the love of her life, Philip Morneault in 2024. They had a wonderful relationship with each other and with the Golden Ponds community. The enjoyment they received from their Golden Ponds friends was given right back to them as they were beloved by many there. Fran had started their “Red Hat Society” where monthly trips included many lunches and laughs. She also wrote a monthly column for the “Around the Pond” newsletter where she humorously reminisced about how times have changed from when she grew up, with an occasional tall tale coinciding with April 1st.
She and Phil also had started a yearly bike fund around Christmas where donations from the generous residents would provide dozens of brand new bicycles for the less fortunate kids of Fort Pierce, to give them joy for the holidays. Yet, her favorite activity was ballroom dancing with her love at the dances held at the clubhouse where they seemed to glide on air together.
She is survived by her sons, Andrew Morneault of Tolland, CT, Paul Morneault and his wife Elaine of South Windsor, CT, and Peter Morneault and his wife Cathy of Walden, Vermont, and her daughter, Amy Kane and her husband, Tim, of Pasadena, Maryland. She also is survived by her grandchildren Timothy Kane, Jr., Hillary Kane, Lydia Morneault, Justin Kane, and Gregory Morneault.
She was predeceased by her son, Matthew Morneault, her sister, Joann Leach, and her parents, Bernard and Gertude Terry.
Arrangements will be held privately by the family. Anyone wishing to make a donation in her memory are asked to support the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Fort Pierce, Florida.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
