Although we were sisters, we didn’t really know each other until 2003 when my husband, Tom, & I visited Vero Beach. (There was a 24 year age difference.) What a warm welcome!! Beverely was gracious and welcoming, and I felt that immediate bond that only sisters would know. Through the following years we often talked about our father, Bernard Teter, and caught up on questions we both had about our joint heritage. We both learned a lot! Tom & I would make it a priority to visit Beverly in Vero Beach when we were in Florida. Last time we “saw” each other was in March when we Zoomed with our youngest sister, Linda Dorman (Sissie). Our bond and love grew over the almost 20 years that we were in contact, and I was thrilled that she was able to talk with me about family things that she only shared with our other sister, Totsie. I will always remember Bev as a beautiful woman, strong, kind and loving. You showed all who knew you what it meant to age gracefully and to keep your mind sharp. My life is richer from having known you. I will miss you! Love, Bobbie

Maria & I will miss Beverly. My favorite quote from Beverly was “I never expected to live so long”. She was in charge and at peace as she exited this world.

You all know my mother as a strong, insightful and intelligent woman who could make everyone feel welcome. She was a very loving and supportive mother to us all and always wanted the best for us. She stood behind her beliefs and opinions as well as those of others who might think or behave differently. She imprinted those values on us. She was also a loving grandmother to our two boys.
Her favorite quote from my perspective: “Say nothing unless it is of complementary nature.”
She is in our minds daily, and in our hearts forever.

Dear Oma,
I love you. Thank you for all the wonderful memories growing up on Long Island and as an adult in Florida. I am going to miss hearing you tell me how proud you are of me as a mother and a nurse.
Your beauty, wisdom and grace are forever embedded in my heart. You knew when it was time to go and you made your plan with dignity. I will continue to “brag” about my 96 year old grandmother for being sophisticated, sharp as a tack, using Facebook and her iPad . I loved to say “Don’t talk politics with her! My grandfather was a Republican and she’s a Democrat. They had an 8×10 picture of “their” President taped to the secretary desk in the kitchen!”
Oh to be a fly on the wall when Opa finally got to see you again! I can hear him say “oh darling, what took you so long”?
