Bruce G. Kennison

October 25, 1937 ~ October 15, 2021

Bruce G. Kennison, 83 of Vero Beach, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at his home.

Bruce was born in Rochester, New York and moved with his family to Fellsmere, FL in 1944. He attended Fellsmere School from the first grade until his graduation with the class of 1956.

Bruce was an Army veteran serving as a Military Policeman. He was stationed at Sandia Base, Albuquerque, NM where he met his wife, Valerie. After his discharge he returned to Fellsmere where they were married before moving to Vero Beach.

He was employed at Piper Aircraft Corporation for 24 years and earned his Private Pilot License while there. He owned and operated ATCO Tool Supply for 31 years until his retirement.

Bruce was a big fan of NASCAR and drag racing. He built his own dragster which he raced for several years. Time spent with his family was what he enjoyed most.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Valerie Stowe Kennison; sons, Michael Kennison, Craig Kennison and Mark Kennison; grandchildren, Teresa Munger Schultz (Benjamin), Tyler Kennison, Shayne Kennison and Cory Childers.

Bruce was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacey Kennison Munger, his parents, Harry Francis and Ella Elizabeth Herle Kennison, and sister, Lois Kennison Ormond.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Bruce G. Kennison.

Interment will be in Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach.
