Carol Marie Willaman

April 19, 1934 ~ August 21, 2021

Carol Marie Willaman, 87, went to be with our Lord on August 21 after a brief non-Covid illness. Born in Akron, OH to Clarence and Hazel Dement, she attended Saint Martha’s and graduated from North High School. She was an Executive Secretary at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company for 20 years before moving to Cocoa Beach in 1970 with her husband, A.C. “Chip” Willaman. After relocating to Fort Pierce. Carol was employed in various Administrative Assistant positions, but the one she enjoyed most was the 25 years with “her girls” at Sunrise Ford.

She is survived by her husband and sons, Duane (Sylvia) Pyka of Canton, OH; Michael “Mickie” (Cheryl) Willaman of Vero Beach, FL; granddaughters, Aleana Pyka of Las Vegas, NV; Kayla Willaman of Vero Beach; Alexia Willaman of Vero Beach; grandson, Jeremiah Pyka of Las Vegas, NV; 7 great granddaughters and 3 great grandsons, all of Las Vegas and several nieces and nephews scattered across this wonderful country.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to your local Hospice or to our Treasure Coast Hospice is greatly appreciated as Hospice was a true blessing in making her last days comfortable.

A “Happy Hour” celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Dearest Family of sweet Carol Willaman, we love you all and will miss Carol. We fondly hold you all in our prayers and give thanks for the grace and mercy of Christ that is offered to each of us. We can rest knowing she is healed and at peace with Christ. What a great family you have all been and will be still, supporting and loving one another. My mom and dad, Roger and Shirley loved and appreciated Carol’s generous hospitality every time they crossed the state of FL to visit mom’s brother Chip and sister-in-law Carol. Hubby Jeff and I will join from afar in Verona, Wisconsin with a toast to Carol. Blessings from Susan and Jeff Decker and daughters Breigh, Erika and Jessica along with 3 son-in-laws Andy, Tom and Jason and 6 grandchildren.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
