Carolyn Yvonne Tlapa, age 79, peacefully went to heaven on March 21, 2024, in Palm Bay, Florida.  She was born in Queens, New York on November 26,1944 to Allan and Florence (Reid) Hurd.  She moved to Florida in 1978 from Sayville, New York.  She had been a loving wife and mother.  She was a beautiful soul who cherished her family and friends.  Her smile made the world brighter. She enjoyed doing puzzles and taking care of her plants. She had enjoyed boating and loved the ocean.  She was predeceased by her husband, Roger Tlapa: her parents Allan and Florence Hurd; brothers Allan Hurd Jr. And Gary Hurd.  She is survived by her daughter Sandra Schweizer of Palm Bay, Florida; her son Richard Schweizer of Georgetown, Texas; 3 Grandchildren John Kramer, Erin Kramer and Aiydan Schweizer; great grandchildren Graidy, Connor and Elizabeth. Her ashes will be combined with her deceased husband, Roger, and they will be scattered across the ocean. Condolences may be shared at www.millenniumcremationservices.com.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do.
