Casandra “Cassie” Ann Leeman

August 24, 1975 ~ August 29, 2026

Casandra “Cassie” Ann Leeman, 51, of Sebastian, Florida, passed away on August 29, 2026, due to ongoing health conditions with complications.

Cassie was born in Norway, Maine, and lived in Modesto, California for several years before moving back and settling in Oxford, Maine for most of her life.  She moved in 2019 to Sebastian, Florida to be closer to some of her family.

Cassie loved big, and she loved hard. Her love for the people in her life was one of the most beautiful things about her. She cherished conversations with her family and friends and had a way of making people feel connected, even when she couldn’t be with them in person. With her wonderful sense of humor, Cassie could light up a room and bring laughter wherever she went.

When she was able to get out and enjoy the world around her, Cassie loved spending time at the beach and discovering new places to eat. When leaving home became more difficult, she found other ways to stay close to the people she loved, often sharing conversations, laughter, and moments with friends and family through social media.

Cassie will be remembered for her humor, her warmth, and above all, her immense capacity to love. For those fortunate enough to know her, that love was something that could be felt deeply and will never be forgotten.

Cassie is survived by her beloved son, Robert Emrich; her mother, Terri Briggs-Wakefield; her father, Steven Leeman; her sisters, Jennifer Wakefield-Emrich, Heather White, and Elizabeth Wakefield; and her brothers, Toby Kane, Brian Leeman, and Andrew Leeman.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Keith Wakefield and her best dog friend, Kush.

Cassie leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, memories, and people who will carry her in their hearts. The thing those who loved her most will remember is simply her love—and the way she gave it so freely and so deeply.

A Celebration of Cassie’s life will be held on September 6, 2026, at 1:00pm. Location: 614 Sembler St, Sebastian, FL 32958.

A Celebration of Cassie’s life will also be held at a later date in Maine of which details will be shared with friends and family when arrangements are finalized.

Arrangements are under the direction of Millennium Cremation Service. Condolences may be shared online at www.millenniumcremationservice.com.

Cassie was just like what was said about her, loved and made everyone around her feel that love, even if you were strangers.

I worked with Cassie at Xerox and she was a blessing to be around and certainly made your day better with a random joke out of the blue.

I send my sincere condolences to her family during this time. She will definitely be missed by many.

Where do I even begin? Cassie was like a mother to me. I will always remember her wit, her light, and her heart. She was the kindest soul that could get along with anyone. I will continue to celebrate her life through the memories we shared. I can’t believe she’s gone.

I love and miss her so much. Xo

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
