Charles Dudley Cornelius

Charles Dudley Cornelius, affectionately known as Chucky, passed away on September 5, 2024, at the age of 54. Born on August 3, 1970, in Broward County, Florida, Charles spent his final years in Sebastian, Florida.

A skilled carpenter, Charles dedicated his life to his craft, always putting his heart and soul into work. He was known for his unwavering passion and kindness, often lending a helping hand to those in need. Charles was a true family man, living by the motto, “Family is all that matters,” and greeting friends with his signature phrase, “Hey sweet cheeks.”

Charles is survived by his daughters, Kristen Michelle Cornelius, Kacey Kahl and his son, Travis Walker Cornelius, as well as his beloved granddaughters, Emily Janice Woodtke and Miranda Kahl. He also leaves behind his best friend and companion, Susan G. Cornelius, his mother, Pauline Hope Cornelius, his brother, Edward Cornelius, nephews, William Cornelius and Chris Cornelius, and his niece, Victoria Chatigny. As well as great nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

Chucky had a deep love for all his animals, especially his beloved dogs, Daisy and Blu, who were his constant companions.

A man of strong convictions, Charles was known for his stubbornness and determination, traits that endeared him to those who loved him. Charles had a unique ability to connect with others, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will cherish the memories of his loving spirit and the joy he brought into their lives.
