Craig E. Satterfield

May 15, 1950 ~ November 09, 2022

Craig E. Satterfield, 72, of Vero Beach passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the VNA Hospice House.

Craig was born May 15, 1950 in Glendale, California to Edward and Louise (nee’ Saddler) Satterfield. Thus began a life of adventure and exploration. He was an accomplished photographer, author, business owner, cruise expert, lecturer and world traveler. Earlier in his life he worked as a professional photographer and interviewer in Hollywood, California. He then moved to Hawaii and opened a chain of record stores. Later he would begin his successful career as a travel agent. He was one of the first “cruise only agents” in the country. He was a member of CLIA: Cruise Lines International Association and received their rare & highest membership honor of Elite Cruise Counselor Scholar. He became so successful in the industry that he felt the need to help other agents build up their brands. He presented seminars at Cruise World, hosted a weekly travel agent chat and authored a book “Confessions of a Cruise Scholar.”

When he wasn’t selling cruises he was busy enjoying them. He traveled all over the world seeing the best of what it had to offer. Though he visited many places his favorite were the Greek Isles.

Craig is survived by his grandson, James Satterfield of Milan, Tennessee and his fiancée, Cindy White of Vero Beach, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Satterfield and son, Erick Satterfield.

A celebration of Craig’s life is planned for a later date. The family then plans to scatter his remains in the ocean so he can continue sailing seas which were such an amazing part of his life.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Millennium Cremation Service of Vero Beach. Friends would like to share a fond memory of Craig or condolences for his family may do so at www.millenniumcremationservice.com.

My dear dear friend of 25 years.
We met in Hawaii when he & his wife were my downstairs neighbors. We continued our friendship even when they moved to Las Vegas & then Vero Beach. Such a kind, generous, giving soul who was always positive & upbeat. His smile was infectious. We had plans this winter in Vero Beach & to take a cruise. I still am in shock & waiting for you to call me or text me. Thanks for being in my life!! A hu’i Hou

Much aloha & love.Debbie
Cruising in heaven now with your loved ones. RIP

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
