Deanna Doreen Muehlberger

Deanna Doreen Muehlberger, 85, of Sebastian, Florida, passed away August 12, 2022, at Sebastian River Medical Center.

She was born on July 3, 1937, in Kansas City, MO to the late Robert Blackman and Juanita Johns. She attended schools in Kansas City until her marriage to her beloved late husband, Louis, of 57 years, and at the age of 63, she proudly completed her high school education.

Deanna and Louis moved to Sebastian in 1989. She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Deanna was a Pastry Chef and delighted to bake and cook for her family, friends and several local restaurants in the area making her famous strawberry cakes, cheesecakes, and tiramisu.

She is survived by her children, Catherine (Walter) Jarzemkoski of Lenexa, KS, Carol Muehlberger of Sebastian and son, Louie (Doreen) Muehlberger of Sebastian; grandchildren, Caitlin (Jeremy) Elias, Hank Jarzemkoski of Lenexa, and Andy (Jamie) Muehlberger of Sebastian; great-grandchildren, Ava DeAngelo, Bailie Muehlberger, Abel Muehlberger, Rowan Elias, Walter Elias and numerous family and friends in Kansas City. Deanna also leaves family and dear friends, including, Wendy Albey, Michelle (Rick) Luke, Helen Kurz (Pat Lorec), as well as her beloved pet, Suzy.

Mrs. Muehlberger was predeceased by her husband, Louis Muehlberger Jr. and brothers, Robert Blackman and Donald (Sharon, surviving) Blackman.

At the request of the family, a private celebration of Deanna’s life will be held at a later date in Sebastian, Florida and Shawnee, Kansas.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to H.A.L.O No-Kill Rescue, https://halorescuefl.org/donate/
