Edwin Labaree Brackett, 97, of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away November 29, 2021.

He was born February 23, 1924 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Edwin Brackett and Clara Nyren.

Mr. Brackett proudly served 20 years in the United States Armed Forces. He enlisted in the Army and later served for the Army Air Corps and was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force. Following his military career, Mr. Brackett worked 10 years for the United States Postal Service in Jacksonville, FL. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Ft. Pierce.

Ed or “Fast Eddie,” as he was commonly referred to, was a phenomenal golfer and hit not one but THREE elusive “hole in ones.”

He was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by his step-daughter, Dorothy Galford and a number of friends.
