Elissa Lynn Davis

February 11, 1978 ~ August 25, 2023

Loving daughter and sister, Elissa Lynn Davis, went to be with her creator and Lord, Jesus Christ, on August 25, 2023, in Vero Beach, Florida.

Elissa was born on February 11, 1978, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. to James W. and Laura Zent Davis.  Later that year, she moved with her family to Vero Beach, Fl.  She graduated from Vero Beach High School in the top 10% of her class of 1996. In 1995 she was diagnosed with a severe disability, but her strong faith in God guided her through trials courageously and graciously, always with a joyful smile. Elissa was a devoted Christian and gave God all the glory despite her disability. God gave her two long-term Christian companions, Dottie Burns and Barbara Malone, who she loved very much. For the last 8 years of her life she lived in two loving Christian group homes. In her teen years, Elissa worked at Vero Beach Dodgertown as a Dodgerette, and she was granted a college scholarship from the Dodgers at a spring training game by LA Dodger  Manager/ Head Coach Tommy Lasorda and star outfielder  Brett Butler. She also worked at Cracker Barrel and AMC Theaters.  She loved reading, Christian music, quoting scripture, cats, coffee, time with her biological and Christian families, eating at restaurants, and going out and about.

She is survived by her loving family, parents Laura Z. and James W. Davis, and her devoted sister, Anna J. Davis.

A celebration of life service will be held at Christ the King Presbyterian Church, 4050 77th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32967 (phone 772-978-5848) at a date and time to be announced.

Memorial gifts may be made to Christ the King Presbyterian Church in her name.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
