Fay R. Kincaid

Fay R. Kincaid of Jupiter, Fl., passed away on June 8th, 2024, in Port St. Lucie after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Garth P. Kincaid, on March 23rd, 2002, and her loving daughter, Annette Matthews Griffin, on August 14, 2018. Fay was born on August 29th, 1929, in Burnham, PA. She was the daughter of the late John J. Ritter and Anna Stuck Ritter Rhodes. Fay was a resident of Tequesta/Jupiter, Fl., since moving from South Windsor, CT. Fay graduated from Burnham High School, class of 1947, and attended Manchester Community College, Palm Beach Community College, and Pratt Whitney’s classes pertaining to her position there.

Fay was transferred from Pratt Whitney Aircraft in Middletown, CT., to Pratt Whitney Aircraft West Palm Beach, Fl., in 1977. She retired from P&WA in January 1991 after 28 years in Customer Support. Fay volunteered at Wapping Community Church, Boys and Girl Scouts, and YMCA during her years in CT. She also volunteered at Jupiter Hospital for many years. Fay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and loyal friend to all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed. Fay is survived by her devoted son, John R. Matthews, and wife Linda of Port St. Lucie, her grandchildren John R. Matthews Jr. and his wife Sharon of Stafford, CT, Tina Marie Matthews of Stafford Springs, CT., Andrew J. Matthews of Port St. Lucie, Fl., Schaefer H. Griffin of CT, and Brooke M. Griffin Ligeti and her husband Robert of Hungary. Her great-grandchildren include Courtney and Addison Matthews (and wife Aiden), Sarah, Tyler, and Carlie Provencher, Walker Sapouckey, Scotland Fay, Mazie Grace, Schaefer John Robert Griffin, and Theodore Ligeti. She is also survived by 1 great-great-grandson, Landon Charles Matthews.

Services will be held at a later date for the family in PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jupiter Hospital in Jupiter, FL.
