Gary George Murdock, Sr.

May 17, 1948 ~ May 27, 2024

In Memory of Gary George Murdock Sr. (1948 – 2024)

With sadness, we announce the passing of Gary George Murdock Sr., of Fellsmere, FL, who departed from this world on the 27th of May, 2024, at the age of 76.

Born on the 17th of May, 1948, in Arlington, Massachusetts, he was the cherished son of the late Russell Murdock Sr. and Dorothea (Hart) Murdock.

Gary is survived by his children: Sandra Race of Manchester, NH; Gary Murdock Jr. and his wife Danielle of Chichester, NH; and Stefanie Murdock of Manchester, NH. He will also be fondly remembered by his brother Russell Murdock Jr. of Sebastian, FL, and his sisters Linda Sorenson of Arvada, CO, Leslie Rose of Rehoboth, MA, and Susan Keenan of Beverly, MA. His memory will be treasured by his eight grandchildren: Christopher, Gary, Samantha, Kimberly, Kirsten, Cameron, Caitlyn, and Kayla, as well as his seven great-grandchildren.

Gary retired from Purity Supreme, in North Billerica Massachusetts, after more than 30 years of dedicated service. He then went on to retire from the Indian River County Parks and Recreation Department, where he worked for 11 years.

While we grieve his absence, we take solace in knowing that he is now at peace.

My heart is very saddened to know that you are gone. I will cherish the memories of our time together. “I imagine you stopping onto a shore and finding heaven, taking hold of a hand and finding God’s hand, breathing new air and finding it celestial air, feeling invigorated and finding it immortality, passing from storm and tempest to an unknown calm, waking and finding it home”. Rest in peace, Gary and know that you are loved.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time! Even though you don’t know me, I was in contact with Dorothea and we shared our Hart Family connection. It’s because of Facebook I’m still able to connect with her children! Your Hart Family in Newfoundland, Canada is thinking about you! Take care!

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
