George Robert Micklow, age 83, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, with his loving wife, Celeste Micklow, by his side. Originally from New Kensington, Pennsylvania, George was a man of quiet strength, character, and deep devotion to his family, community, and country.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, George served during the Vietnam War, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant (SSGT). Stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, he served as an Inventory Management Specialist, working tirelessly to ensure that fellow
Airmen had the essential equipment and resources required to complete their missions safely and efficiently. George held an enduring love for the nation he served, giving his final salute as the nation celebrated its historic 250th Independence Day.

An accomplished professional, George spent his career as an executive bank manager, where he truly thrived in business development. George was widely known for his utmost professionalism, warmth, and integrity. He established great rapport and established deep roots within the community, building lasting relationships with high-end clients throughout the Martin County area. He was particularly proud of his work
supporting Martin Memorial Hospital, the City of Stuart, and numerous prominent local physicians and attorneys established in the downtown area.

Beyond his professional and military accomplishments, George embraced the simple joys of life. His passion for fishing began in his youth, when his dad would drop him off early in the morning to fish all day and pick him up later in the afternoon-a lifelong passion that stayed with him for the remainder of his life. George was also musically gifted, playing the trumpet, and he loved to dance and take peaceful rides in the car.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Celeste Micklow; two stepsons, Matthew and Stuart Torres; his son, Dr. Gregory Micklow, and his wife, Amy Harding, of Tennessee; his two cherished granddaughters, Reese and Chase Micklow; his sister, Linda Celko; his niece, Kristen Celko; and his nephew and godson, Justin Celka.

George was preceded in death by his parents, George Micklow and Edith Solomone Micklow; his son, Jeffrey Micklow; and his brother-in-law, David Celko.

On Saturday, July 25, 2026, a private service with Military Honors will be held at All Saint’s Church in Jensen Beach, Florida.
