George Trampler, 73, a lifelong resident of Union Beach, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.
George and his wife Patricia retired to Vero Beach, Florida in 2022.
George was predeceased by his brother Robert Trampler; his father, George Trampler Sr.; his mother, Virginia King Trampler; and his brother, James Trampler.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 33 years, Patricia; his children, Melissa Wojaczyk and her husband Brian Wojaczyk, and Cheryl Fox and her fiancé Bill Keene; his seven beloved grandchildren, Jared, Emily, Jack, and Mariah Wojaczyk, and Camryn, Ryan, and Maxwell Foley; his sister, Candi Joaquin; and many loving nieces and nephews.
George dedicated 45 years of service to International Flavors & Fragrances in Union Beach and Hazlet, New Jersey, where he held various positions throughout his career. He was also a proud member of the IFF Fire Brigade, the Emergency Response Team, and the IFF softball league.
He proudly volunteered with both the Union Beach First Aid Squad and Union Hose Fire Company.
George grew up fishing along the Jersey Shore, playing Little League baseball, and later participating in the men’s softball league. He also had a passion for weightlifting, gardening, and umpiring youth baseball in his later years. His greatest joy was watching his grandchildren excel in sports, attending as many games and matches as he possibly could.
George was known for his storytelling, quick humor, and uncanny ability to remember dates and details that nobody else could. He never missed a chance to tell a good story — even if his family had heard it a few times before. He loved making people laugh, talking with everyone he met, and turning ordinary conversations into memorable moments.
George loved his daily lottery tickets. Well George, looks like you finally won the grand prize…the golden ticket to heaven.
He will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved him.

As my sister-in-law Pat’s husband, George was family. We were together as our children and grandchildren grew and as we navigated the calm and sometimes turbulent seas of life. He was simply a great man. He was dedicated, thoughtful, incredibly generous in all ways, and as everyone knows, a great story teller! I am a better person having known him.

George was my neighbor all through my youth in union beach NJ. My favorite memories of him were yelling at the plow drivers, during a snow storm for plowing his driveway in. It was the highlight of my snow days home from school. Love you buddy. God bless

Rest in Peace George! Met him in 1991 at IFF as he worked in my department and we played softball together for the Union Beach Team. Great guy and we kept in touch on Facebook through the years! My heart goes out to his wife and children❤️❤️❤️

George, When you and Pat moved here to Vero Beach, you brightened up our community with your amusing wit and with all the colorful flowers and plants you planted on your property. It was a joy to see them each time Tom and I drove in and out of our community. I feel certain that heaven is even more beautiful now that you are there. May you have eternal peace and joy. We will miss you but we are so glad that we had you with us these last few years.

George was one of those rare people who made everyone around him feel welcome. His warm personality and genuine kindness were impossible to miss — and so was his boundless love for dogs. Whether he was chatting on the street corner or kneeling down to greet a furry friend, George always had a smile ready. The neighborhood is quieter without him, but richer for having known him. Rest in peace your fight is over.

We feel blessed to have become best of friends with George after he and his wife Pat moved here to Citrus Springs. We immediately struck a friendship together since we had many things in common. Over the “all the too short time” together we spent many wonderful times together at each other’s homes, the Clubhouse Pool, the Moose and other restaurants. We got to see and experience first hand George’s kindness, his love for Pat and their family and his wonderful wit. Although, we are thankful to have Pat here in Florida with us, we will miss George so very much. My limited knowledge of the Bible is enough to know that George will be with God because he possessed a very important biblical quality that Is expressed by Jesus through out scripture. That quality is “childlike humility and love for one another”.
