Glenn Walker Legwen III

March 15, 1945 ~ July 19, 2020

Glenn Walker Legwen III, 75, of Vero Beach, FL passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on July 19, 2020.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 15th, 1945 to Glenn Walker Legwen Jr. and Elsa Roberts. He was brought up in Puerto Rico as a young boy and learned Spanish as his first language. He became very passionate in dancing, and his hobbies included free diving, along with gymnastics in high school. Glenn Legwen III graduated from the University of Georgia in 1970 and received a Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture. He then joined the US Navy in August 1970 and served onboard both the USS Tecumseh (SSBN-628) and the USS Guadalcanal (LPH-7) during his 6 years until August 1976 as a Fire Control Technician, and a Illustrator/Draftsman. During his time in the Navy, he married Mary Ann Creech, but did not have any children, and they later divorced before his discharge. He worked as a satellite TV salesman for a couple of years, then moved on to become an insurance salesman. After living in Vero Beach for several years, he married Debra Lynne DiBo in Vero Beach, FL in February 1986 and had 2 boys. Shortly thereafter, he ran a plant nursery for several years called Acaddemix Nursery. He then worked on his culinary degree as and worked at various restaurants until he decided the culinary business was not a business he wanted to run. He then pursued an interest in Heating and Air Conditioning and went on to receive his certification in HVAC, before retiring.  His passions included art, photography, sailing, dancing, and watching movies with his girlfriend Florence Zasadzinski.

He was survived by 2 sons, Glenn Walker Legwen IV who is now a Petty Officer First Class Fire Controlman (Aegis) in the Navy and William Lee Legwen, who is now a journeyman in the HVAC industry. Glenn’s sons career choices were largely inspired by his own knowledge and experience in the same fields. His granddaughter, Sage Rosalee Legwen, 3, loved her “Pop Pop” very much, and will cherish the memories they had.

Recent Reviews

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
