Guy Bartolucci, 90, passed away peacefully at home on August 23, 2026 with his daughter , leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service, craftsmanship and love of his family.
Born in Springfield, MA on November 6, 1935, Guy was the son of Joseph and Mary (McGuy) Bartolucci. He grew up in the Six Corners neighborhood of Springfield, where he formed his lifelong roots. Guy graduated from the High School of Commerce and later attended Northeastern University.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a military court reporter stationed at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indiana.
A master of his trade, Guy was a dedicated member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers from 1955 to the present. He was also a prominent member of the Massachusetts Construction Association, where he served as a trustee for the health and welfare, pension fund, and apprentice training programs for Massachusetts Local 1.
In 1995, Guy retired and relocated to Florida, enjoying his years first in Boca Raton and later in Sebastian with his brother. An avid sports fan, he spent his free time passionately cheering for the New York Yankees, New York Giants, and Boston Celtics. Guy was also an accomplished author; under the pen name Alan Bishop, he wrote “Laws, Lies and Lawyers,” a veracious tale capturing the unique happenings of his hometown of Springfield.
Guy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Anne (Mitrowski) Bartolucci; his loving daughter, Lori Anne; his sister, Rita Bartolucci; and his brother, Joseph Bartolucci.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Cheryl Bartolucci, and his son-in-law, Braden Tokarz. He leaves behind his grandchildren: Chris (Meg), Evan (Courtney), Chelsea, and Victoria (Dimitri), as well as his great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews that he adored immensely.
A small service will be held at Sebastian Veteran’s Memorial park where he will receive his honors, and he will be laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery with Military Honors at a later date.

So sorry for your loss Cheri Bartolucci. I have only a few memories of Pops, but they are all good. He was the first person to take me deep Sea fishing. What a treat for all of us. A kind and devoted person, just like you. God’s spead Guy.
