Henry R. Mazako

Henry “Hank” Robert Mazako, 81 of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce.

Born June 8, 1939 in Ashland, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Henry Raymond and Genevieve (Paliokas) Mazako.  He moved to the Treasure Coast in 1989 coming from Oxford, Connecticut.

Hank was in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era and served over one year in Korea as a Military Policeman patrolling the DMZ. 

He was a Maintenance Machinist, retiring from Kerite Company, in  Seymour, Connecticut after 30 years of employment.

Hank was a member of the Roman Catholic faith.  He had enjoyed his motorcycle and classic car over the years.  While living in Florida, he loved fixing things. Everything from bicycles, lawnmowers, edgers and everyone knows fans were his specialty. He had a reputation in the neighborhood “If Hank couldn’t fix it, it was unfixable”.

 Preceeded in death by his parents;  brother, John Mazako, Sr.; a sister who died at birth, nephew, John Mazako, Jr. and niece Beverly Riley.

Hank is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years,  Carolee N. Mazako; beloved children, daughter, Bonnie Jakmauh of Oregon; Henry R. Mazako, Jr. and wife, Renee of Connecticut; cherished grandchildren, Nolan, Evan, Thomas, Marinna; brother, Bernie Mazako and wife, Karen of Connecticut; Sister-in-law Jean Mazako of Florida; his beloved uncle, Martin Paloikas and wife Rosie of Virginia; niece Kelly Kirk of Florida and nephew Michael Mazako of Pennsylvania.
