Howard George Brewer, Jr.

Howard George Brewer Jr., age 94, passed away at his home in Vero Beach, FL on February 6, 2024, of natural causes. Howard was born in Bronxville, New York on April 12, 1929, to Howard G. Brewer, Sr, and Enid Florence Drake. Howard lived in Queens, graduated from Staunton Military Academy in Staunton, VA and then received his BA from University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. He served two years in the Air Force as an Operations Officer for the 922nd AC&W Squadron in Labrador, Canada scrambling planes from a radar station there. After his service in the AF, he was employed by Dow Jones & Company with whom he enjoyed a 35-year career.

He married Marie Occhicone and with her had daughter Tracy Ann (Scahill, Frank) and son William Michael (Polly) who survive. After her death he married Phyllis Elmore Miller with whom he enjoyed his retirement years and who survives. His brother, Richard, predeceased him.

He is survived by grandchildren Stephen (Erica) Brewer, Matthew (Nicolette) Brewer, Emily Cureton (Casey), Morgan Ann Littman, Peter Brewer Littman and three delightful great grands. Also surviving are nephews, a niece, several stepchildren, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.
