Jacqueline “Jackie” Daly

Brenda Jacqueline Daly, 75, of Stuart, FL, formally of Glassboro, NJ gained her angel wings on Saturday, October 21, 2023 while in the embrace of her children and her caring team at Solaris Healthcare.

Born in Morristown, TN to James and Katherine “Kitty” Johnson, Jackie lived in Millville, NJ most of her life until moving to Glassboro, NJ with her beloved husband C. Mark Daly, of 35 years (predeceased on June 8, 2017).

Although she enjoyed many diverse occupations, Jackie worked in the Atlantic City, NJ gaming industry for many years and retired from Pitman Manor in 2015.  She had an intimate lifelong relationship with Jesus, and of giving and receiving much support from her Christian community, especially her family members of the Rock Church (NJ) and Revive Church (FL).  She enjoyed being an active member of church choirs, bible studies, going to the beach and pool, playing pinochle, the occasional casino visit, and helping family and life-long friends whenever she could, many of which lovingly called her “Momma”.

Left behind to cherish her memory are Jackie’s daughter, Michele Colson (Barry), son, Brian Cessna, grandson, Wyatt Cessna, step-son, Keith Smith (Lori), mother-in-law, Anna Daly, sister-in-law, Mariann Heritage (Tom), brother-in-law James Daly, numerous beloved family members, and special friends across the country.

In addition to her husband and best friend Mark Daly, predeceased are her parents James Johnson and Frankie ‘Kitty” Katherine Danbarry, her aunt Gona Conard Berry and uncle Frank Berry who lovingly raised her as their own, her sister Rita Duffy (Dan), and special cousin Susan Hayman (Mike), as well many dear and cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that she loved and missed dearly.

A celebration of her life and relationship with God will be held at a later date at the Rock Church in Pitman, NJ.

Michele, Barry, & Brian,
My heart goes out to all of you for your loss, I know you will miss her so much. Jackie had such a beautiful spirit, I really don’t know anyone that comes close to her. She helped us so much through the years and I am so grateful and blessed to have been her friend.
Jackie not only was always there to help whoever needed it, she had the ability to make you laugh even when times were tough.
She will be missed terribly, I hope she knew how loved and special she was to so many people.
Love Jane, Derek & Sarah

Dear Miki, Brian and Barry,

It breaks my heart that she was so ill this last year. But she always talked about her future with optimism -whether it was here or on to the next step.

I keep remembering things that happened between 5th grade and the present. There is so much-so much smiling, laughing, and loving. The world is a smaller place now that she has gone.

I miss her and love her. I know you all were there for her, lifting her up and giving her comfort and Peace.

It breaks my heart that she was so ill this last year. But she always talked about her future with optimism -whether it was here or with God. That attitude caused me to feel that she was at Peace with whatever was in store.

I keep remembering things that happened between 5th grade and the present. There is so much-so much smiling, laughing, and loving. Our families shared us with each other and it broadened our worlds. Jackie thought of my mother as a support all through her life. And I benefitted from all the love that Gona and Ulys shared around me before they all left Cleveland. The world is a smaller place now that she has gone.

I miss her and love her. I know you all were there for her, lifting her up and giving Her comfort and Peace.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
