Dear Ron and the rest of Jan’s family,
Jan was a dear friend of mine since the mid-1980’s. We met while working in the Hartford law firm and worked together for 20+ years. We also got together several times when Ron and Jan spent their summers here in CT and always had a wonderful/fun visit.
Jan was always so loving, kind and generous to me and my children, and also came to know my only grandchild, Charlotte. She loved babies (along with her red wine and desserts), and always managed to knit them beautiful sweaters. We also shared several recipes, etc., etc., as well as many laughs over the years. Despite working hard we always had the time for laughs (and lunch together) while on the job. Her carrot cake was the very best. When my children were younger we visited her Collinsville home. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and she always had special treats for them.
I am very sad to here that she has left us, but I have some wonderful thoughts and memories of a very dear person who I am grateful to have had in my life. Despite not seeing each other too often these last few years, whenever we were together we always picked up as if we had seen each other on a regular basis. I will miss having her share her life and family with me and mine with her. It was evident that she loved you very much, Ron, and of course Chris and Michael and the rest of the immediate Ferreira/Fondo family. She loved being with all of you and shared that with me on several occasions. God bless you all for being with her during her final days. I will miss this relationship more than you know, but Jan rests in peace now. Good-bye my dear friend.❤
With much affection,
Evelyn
