I have lost one of my dearest friends who was like a sister to me. I could always rely on Joanne whenever I needed help or advice. I trusted her judgement and wisdom. I will cherish my great memories of our time together and her infectious giggle. Friendship does not end at death. It is eternal. I am so grateful to have been able to spend the afternoon with Joanne and Pat, another dear friend, a day before Joanne’s passing. Kathy, Jeff, family and friends….I share in your grief at our very sad loss.
Love always,
Susan Kelly

Joanne and I were very close friends during her P&W days in East Hartford. We were both Administrative Assistants at the time and 13 years my elder. I looked up to her as a friend and to show me the ropes. I learned a lot from her….we had so much fun together at happy hour and hanging at her home. I just spoke to her not long ago as we kept in touch. Joanne… you will be missed by so many! Until we meet again my friend.
With love,
Lisa Henry

I didn’t learn of this sadness until today. For reasons unknown to me Joanne stopped keeping in touch. I took the loss of her friendship with great pain. Joanne and I worked together side by side volunteering at Safe Space. I admired how smart and quick witted she was. We laughed a lot, even her giggle was unique. She loved animals like I did, part of her caring nature. She sure loved her sister and brother in law and talked about them often. I was glad I had the opportunity to meet them. When she told me she was raised in Conn. we discovered it was a few blocks away from my friend who lives there. On my next trip to Conn. I stopped and took pictures of her old house where she was grew up. I will miss Joanne very much!

You are here in spirit this year and we will still have our laughs. I love you my friend and enjoy this holiday with your angels. Love, Sooz
