John Robert Piecuch Jr., 77, of Vero Beach, passed away April 22, 2022.
John was born in Hammond, Indiana, on July 5, 1944, to John Piecuch and Wanda Sylvestrowicz. He had been a resident of Ronkonkoma, New York for 36 years, coming from Munster, Indiana. John married his wife Kathleen Ann Feltzer on August 12, 1967.

He then worked for Motorola Communications before starting a new career in 1981 as a licensed owner/operator of a McDonald’s franchise location in Long Island, New York. He served on the McDonald’s regional purchasing committee, the New York board of McDonald’s advertising co-operative and was president of the 86-member Long Island Owners Association for six years prior to his retirement. After his wife passed in 2013, he moved permanently to Vero Beach, where they had been snowbirds. During his time in Florida, John was a director of the Vero Beach Yacht Club and active on the Fleet Committee.
John and Cindy Kelly, his partner for the last six years, enjoyed the fun they had at the Vero Beach Yacht Club and everywhere they went together.
He is survived by his children, Robert and Jennifer.

We miss John at the Yacht Club! He was a gentle, generous soul who never met a stranger and gave so much of himself on our board of directors and Fleet Committee. I wish him fair winds and following seas as his journey continues.
