Joseph “Joe” Riccio Jr.

January 20, 1951 ~ November 28, 2023

Joseph “Joe” Riccio Jr. passed away on November 28th, 2023, after a difficult battle with cancer at 72 years of age, while surrounded by loved ones.

He was born on January 20, 1951, in the Bronx, New York to the late Joseph and Rose (Bartolomeo) Riccio. Joe had two careers; he retired from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel after 29 years of service and proceeded to spend over 24 years at Disney before retiring in October of this year.

Joe valued his family above all else. He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Riccio, in addition to his children Joseph Riccio III, Carrie (Mike) Minnerly, Tracy (Nick) Holcomb, and Riley Riccio. He is also survived by 5 of his grandchildren, Bailey Minnerly, Conner Minnerly, Owen Minnerly, Corbyn Holcomb, and Marley Holcomb, as well as his siblings, Terry Caporale and Carl (Jean) Riccio. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his grandson Michael Minnerly.

His family will be planning a private Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) or the Coffin-Siris Syndrome Foundation. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.millenniumcremationservice.com

My sincere condolences to Joe’s family and friends. I worked with Joe early in his military career in Kingsbridge Armory in The Bronx.
We worked hard but we had fun too. He was a good loyal friend, not afraid to tell you what he thought. I liked that about Joe.
Towards the end of his career we were together again for a while at the National Guard Bureau in Arlington VA. After we both retired from the military we lost contact. However, I often thought about Joe and others that we served with in those early days back in The Bronx. RIP Joe. Until we meet again

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
