Joyce Lou Swanigan, 59, passed away August 26, 2022, at home surrounded by her mother and loved ones.

Joyce was born January 29, 1963, to loving parents Lebron and Clara in Vero Beach, FL. She worked as a citrus packer in Vero Beach for many years.

Joyce leaves to cherish her memories her loving mother, Clara Chance and stepfather, Bennie Chance; three brothers: Jeffery (Denise) Swanigan, Andrew Chance, and Dennis Chance; four sisters: Doris (Clinton) Pryce, Margie Thomas, Brenda Swanigan, Sandra Gail Chance and her Fiancé Earl Everette; sister-in-law, Joanne Jones; very special aunt Sherman Shelly; aunt, Ruby Lee Swanigan; four uncles: Johnny Mack, Henry Shelly, Harvest Shelly, William (Cheree) Shelly; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joyce is preceded in death by her father, Lebron Swanigan; and two brothers: Albert Jones and Johnny Dean Swanigan.

Arrangements are under the direction of Millennium Cremation Service.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do.
