Joyce Marie (DiGiano) Mason, 88
September 26, 1935 – March 29, 2024

Joyce M. Mason, 88, of Vero Beach passed away peacefully after being under long-term care.

She was the wife of the late Lewis R. Mason and sister to the late Joan Kundrot Morris. Joyce is survived by her loving daughter, Marie (Mimi) Mason Amato and son-in-law Mike Amato of Vero Beach and Slidell, LA. She is also survived by a son, Edward Mason and his wife Nancy of Vero Beach, and three grandsons: Mason Noeller of Colorado and Jacoub and Joshua Mason of Vero Beach.

Joyce was born in Brockton, MA in 1935. She worked for many years for various law firms as a legal secretary, the longest for Charles Sullivan, Sr. Joyce was a member of the Pipers Wives Club, an avid bowler and she loved to play scrabble, cards and ping pong. She was loved by many family members and a close circle of friends.

At the familys request, there will be no visitation or service. The family asks for anyone who wishes to donate to the Hospice/VNA, who cared for both Joyce and Lewis during their final days.

Dear Mimi, Your mom was a very special lady to all of us, and especially to dad.

I know they got to visit a few times before dad passed. Dad was always so happy to see Joyce and talk about the old days.

Sincere condolences to your family.

We were very saddened to hear of Joyce’s passing. I met her years ago and worked with her occasionally at the law office of Charles Sullivan, Sr. She was a wonderful, special person and I thought a lot of her and always enjoyed being around her. Our deepest condolences to her daughter, son and family.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
