Judith Ann Hamilton

July 08, 1944 ~ March 21, 2022

Judith Ann Hamilton (nee Melzer) died March 21, 2022 in Vero Beach, FL. Born in Taylorville, IL on July 8, 1944 to Oscar Melzer and Mary Stahulak Melzer. She married Joseph C. Hamilton in January 1964 but was widowed on July 10, 2018. She resided in Rockford, IL for many years where she raised her daughters Carrie Hamilton of Rutherford, NJ (son in law Patrick Lenaghan, granddaughter Miranda and grandson Ian) and Christine Svab of St. Joseph, MI (son in law James Svab, granddaughter Anna). However, she moved permanently to Vero Beach in 1986. In addition to her two daughters, Judith Hamilton is survived by siblings Maria Gardona (Glendale, AZ), Mary Schewe (Cincinnati, OH), Josanna Verardi (Arvada, CO), and Nick Verardi (Houston, TX). While she practiced hair dressing for several decades, in her free time she greatly enjoyed reading, completing puzzles and playing Mahjong and Mexican Train with friends inside and outside of Lexington Club. Friends and acquaintances will also remember her as the devoted owner of dogs Kira and Maddie. Her generosity and lively spirit are already greatly missed. Services will be private.

Carrie and Chris, I was shocked and sadden to hear of your mom’s passing. I remember her starting her career as a hair stylist and practicing on the neighborhood. Such a fun time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this sad time.
With heartfelt sympathy, God Bless.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
