Judith Carole Bandura, 81, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her adoring family on July 18, 2023, after a brief illness.
Judy was born on May 24, 1942 to Kathryn (Hillwig) and Joseph John in Butler, PA.
Judy and Wally, her husband of 46 years, called Vero Beach their home since 1978, when they packed up their kids, moving from Pennsylvania to Florida, where they bought and operated a local food distribution business for 30 years.
Judy’s professional career included owning several businesses and later working as a retail sales manager. When she finally retired, Judy enjoyed spending time with her husband, traveling and playing golf. She was a member of St. John of the Cross
Catholic Church. Judy’s greatest joy was being with her children, grandchildren, and holding her great-grandchildren. She loved to watch sports (Pittsburgh teams),
was an amazing cook, seamstress, and baker. She enjoyed taking walks outdoors, swimming, reading, and volunteering
time at Glendale and Citrus Elementary schools.
Judy is survived by her husband, Wally, 6 children, Mike (Lisa) Dancisin, Shelly (Buddy) Potter, Katie (Juan) Bello, Rene’ (Kevin) Koppelman, James (Liz)
Bandura, and Jackie (James) Ripple. She was abundantly blessed and greatly loved by her 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, her cherished younger sister, Terri (David) Profitt of Vero Beach, and 7 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and younger brother, David R. John, of Butler, PA.
Judy was a beautiful person, inside and out, and made the people around her feel welcomed, special and loved. She will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John of the Cross Legacy of Faith Building Fund or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Cousin Judy was the sweetest. I havent seen her in years since we have always been many miles apart but i thought of her often. She always had such a beautiful smile. I know she had a special place in her uncle Sonny’s heart. She will be missed by many. May she rest in peace.

I was saddened to read that Judy left to watch us from the stars. She shined so bright among us you couldn’t help but be drawn to her. It’s been so many years since I’ve seen everyone, except running into Jackie at places, but that time of my life that myself and Inez were with you left an indelible print on my heart and soul.
