Judith Lee Flanigan Miller, known lovingly to those close to her as Judi, passed away on July 26, 2026, at her home in Port St. Lucie, Florida, after a long battle with congestive heart failure. She was 84 years old.
Born on March 18, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Judi grew up with a sharp eye for beauty and style that would shape the course of her life. In the early 1960s, she graduated from The Modern School of Fashion Design on Newbury Street in Boston, turning her lifelong
passion for fashion into a career. She eventually opened her own store in Kennebunkport, Maine, specializing in men’s and women’s fashion
apparel, building something she was truly proud of.
Judi had an innate love for beautiful things, whether it was a well-tailored garment, a thoughtfully designed space, or the small details others might overlook.
She married George Miller, and together they raised two children. Judi was kind and giving, always looking out for those she loved. She was also, by all accounts, incredibly stubborn, a quality her family will remember with equal parts exasperation and admiration. Her sense of humor could light up a room, and she never lost the ability to make the people around her laugh.
Judi is survived by her son, George E. Miller, and her daughter, Sheryl L. Miller, who will carry her memory forward with deep love and
gratitude. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, George, Michael, Connor, Lindsey and Sylvie.
May she rest in peace, free from suffering, surrounded by the beauty she always cherished.
A celebration of life will be held privately by the family at a later date.
