Keith V. Ullrich born October 17, 1951, in Rockville Centre New York, passed away peacefully at his home in Hutchinson Island Florida, on April 3, 2026, at age 74.
He was a Baldwin High School graduate in 1970 where he was known for gymnastics and wrestling. He soon moved to Newport Beach, CA where he attended college and pursued his passion of becoming a race car driver at Bondurant Racing School. Both were short lived adventures before returning to Long Island where he got a job in NY Harbor on Tugboats. Keith sailed 48 years on Texaco and Moran Tugboats as he rose through the ranks from deckhand to Captain. His work took him to many ports along the East Coast and Caribbean Sea. He especially liked the years he spent working out of Puerto Rico and avoiding the NY winters. His journey through life brought him to Ft Lauderdale, Lake Lure, and Hutchinson Island Florida where he resided with his wife Terry who predeceased him in 2023, along with his parents Norman and Lydia and brother Tripp.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Keith’s name to the Humane Society of St. Lucie County, https://hsslc.org/donations/
