Kenny Edwin Jordan

February 17, 1964 ~ October 27, 2022

Kenneth Edwin Jordan, a lifelong resident of Vero Beach, FL, went to sleep and woke up with the angels on October 27, 2022, at the age of 58.

He was born February 17, 1964, to Jack Edwin Jordan and Anita Smith. Kenny graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1983 and soon after, began working for Indian River County Traffic Division. After 36 and a half years of service to Indian River County, Kenny was just 6 months shy of retirement.

Kenny was a member of the Apostolic Church. He was a quiet man of faith but had a love for God that ran deep. His wish is that his family continue to live for God.

To know Kenny was to know a friend. He never met a stranger and always willing to lend a helping hand. Kenny was a well experienced shade tree mechanic and passed the skills down to his youngest son, Dalton. He enjoyed fishing, talking to everyone and sports, especially football, NASCAR and motocross. What Kenny cherished most in this world was his beautiful family. Kenny was a loyal family man and enjoyed all his hobbies with his wife, children, and grandchildren. From attending sporting and motorcycle events to coaching his grandchildren’s little league football team, everything involved family. Kenny leaves a living legacy through his children, grandchildren and he will be greatly missed by all.

Kenny leaves his memories to be cherished by his wife of 20 years, Shani Denise Jordan; children, Tiffany Jordan of Vero Beach, Joseph (Daphne) Jordan of Colorado, Miranda Jordan (who not only called him dad but “Papa Coach Boy”) of Vero Beach and Dalton Jordan of Vero Beach; mother, Anita Eveskcige of Callahan, FL; sister, Monica (Rick) Ursry of Callahan, FL; grandchildren, RJ Collins, Jordan Edwin Collins, Haylynn Howden, Leanna Howden, Joseph Jordan, Jr., Luke Jordan and Mia Jordan (expected to arrive January, 2023); nephew, Christopher Atkinson of Bremerton, WA; niece, Kaylee Ursry (whom referred to Kenny as “Cowboy Curtis”) of Callahan, FL; mother-in-law, Karen Rayburn of Vero Beach; stepsister, Kathy Allison of St. Augustine, FL; stepbrother, Dwayne Smoot of Orlando, FL; stepmother, Barbara Jordan of Vero Beach; stepsisters, Jennifer (Scott Anderson) Osteen and Rachel (Kevin) Delashmutt both of Vero Beach, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Jack Edwin Jordan; infant sister, Brandi Denise and stepfather, Stanley “Flea” Eveskcige.

A memorial service and celebration of Kenny’s life will be held at the Vero Beach United Pentecostal Church, 25 27th Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32968. A private inurnment will take place at Crestlawn Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Millennium Cremation Service, Vero Beach. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.millenniumcremationservice.com.

Hey Shani,

I am terribly sorry to hear… I do hope you and the kids are all doing well and are thinking positively I do know it is hard to lose a loved one. It is hard to accept the change that has occurred. There is only one thing that helped me through this ordeal when one of my uncles passed a while back. I knew that he was fighting something, but now that he isn’t fighting anything anymore, I can feel at ease knowing that whatever he was going through, he is not feeling it up there. So is Kenny. I know it. !!! I will try and I WILL. be there this Saturday.

Best regards,

Abdal Khan

To Shani and her family, the loss of a good man, like Kenny will be felt long and hard among his friends and acquaintances. He was always so kind and pleasant. your family was always an example of a loving sharing group that included others even on the outside. We will miss him dearly and hope that his family takes comfort in the fact that he is so well loved.

Shani, Bev, Leeanna and I love you so very much!! I know words can’t take away the pain you’re feeling and all I can say is you will never be alone because of the love that surrounds you!! If you need anything, you get a hold of me and we’ll just sit down and talk. Again we love you and we wish we could make it down but there’s just no way it would be possible. We’ll continually keep you and the kids in prayer.

Kenny treated everyone like part of his family. He was looking forward to his retirement, to spend time with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. My next apple pie moonshine will be a toast to Kenny, a good man taken home way to soon.

Rest in peace Kenny. Your spirit lives on in the things you’ve taught me that grew into my passions. They will be passed down to my 2 boys and many other kids I’m involved with. Thanks for being a great father figure/role model for me when I didn’t have one. You always treated me with respect. Many of my best memories include you.
Shani and the family, I’m so sorry for your loss. He has touched many lives and will continue to upon his passing. Keep your head up and his spirit alive!

Today is the day we say our final farewell to Kenny; A kind, funny and thoughtful man. Kenny’s presence and the value he added has left a hole in our team at Traffic Operations.

I pray Isaiah 41:10 for the Jordan Family: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Love Peace & Blessings to You Always & In All Ways.

Rest in Heaven Kenny, Until We Meet Again.

My beloved brother It is hard to believe you’re gone. I know we all grieve in different ways but your passing was bittersweet for me. My wish would have been that you were here with us always, but I know where your spirit longed to be and that God has you in his arms. The many talks we had for hours about the Lord, the prophecies and the end times. Some people would call us conspiracy theorists for what we believed, but we didn’t care what they said. For we know who our creator is. So, if God is for us then who can be against us I’m blessed to have had the time here on earth to call you my brother, but also my friend I will forever miss you and the bond we shared.Bless God for you are now in his presence Until we meet again in another time and place Always and forever your loving sister WWG1WGA

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
