Linda J Fleck

Linda Jean Fleck, 82, of Melbourne Beach, Florida, formerly of Crownsville, MD, and Coraopolis, PA, passed on February 4th, 2024, at William Childs Hospice Home in Palm Bay, FL after a brief illness.

Youngest

daughter of the late Theodore S. & Lena (Aiello) Almacy, Linda was born on July 14th, 1941, and attended Moon Area School District where she graduated in 1959.

Linda had the opportunity to live in many places throughout the world which included Madagascar and Santiago, Chile with her former husband, Thomas Fleck. They had two children.

Becoming an independent woman in 1983, Linda was employed by Bendix Field Engineering Corporation where she was an Administrator on NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. She was associated with supporting several Space Shuttle missions.

After retiring in 1997, she moved to Florida to enjoy golf, bingo, playing bridge, and casino gaming. She loved baking especially around Christmas. Memorable vacations and special family events with cousins and dear friends were highlights of the various seasons of her life.

Linda was preceded in death by her sister Janice A. Moore and is survived by her two sons, Steven (Linda) & David (fiancé Marta) Fleck; Special niece; Jody (Moore) O’Grady, four grandchildren: Matthew (Brittany), Melanie (Dustin) Sapp, Michael (fiancé Caleb), and Marckus; and five great-grandchildren.
