My Dear Linda,
I was heartbroken to see your obituary posted on the internet this morning. You were always such a supportive and loving sister-in-law, and this is how I will always remember you in my heart.
When I married into this family, it didn’t take long for me to realize that you and Joe had the closest thing to a perfect marriage that I had seen in my life. You were role models for me, and I wanted my new marriage to be in a similar place to where yours was after 20 years. I just knew you were one of those rare couples who fall in love, stay in love, and live happily ever after.
It was a privilege to be a small part of your life. You always made me feel welcome in your homes, and accepted me into your family before J.T. and I even walked down the aisle. Even though much time has passed since we last saw each other, I still feel a great loss today, and you will be missed greatly sis. Rest in peace, I will never forget you.
And Joseph, my extremely kind and protective brother-in-law . . . my heart goes out to you and the rest of the family. I can’t begin to imagine losing a spouse after 55 years, but I know It will take an incredible amount of strength and a great deal of time to even begin to get over a loss this deep.
I remember when you were going through your ‘Chumbawamba’ phase in the mid 90’s. One night we were having a small party at your condo, when this song started playing and you jumped around the living room singing ‘Tubthumping’ at the top of your lungs (you and Linda threw awesome parties!). That was the first time I heard that song, and after your performance, I could never forget it. That’s the first image that pops into my head when I think of you, and those song lyrics seem appropriate at this difficult time.
“I get knocked down, but I get up again, you are never gonna keep me down”.
With my (still) deeply heartfelt love, affection, and best wishes for all of the Tysenn family,
Cindy Warner
