Madeleine J. Goodney (Girouard) 83, passed away on Friday, July 23rd 2021.
She is survived by her husband, George D. Goodney; her children, Lisa Phipps her husband John of Berlin, MA,
David Goodney his wife Donna of Naples, FL, James Goodney his wife Karen of Rutland, MA, Joanne Moss her husband Thomas of Leicester, MA and Terrie Carpino her husband Michael of High Point, NC and 13 grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Theresa Archambault,
Lorraine Holloway and Marshall Girouard and many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, MA the daughter of the late Marshall Girouard and Corana Girouard
(Poulin).
Mrs. Goodney worked as a hairdresser for many years as well as owner of M.G.’s Unisex Beauty
Salon until her retirement. She enjoyed her retirement for 22 years in Vero Beach, FL with family
and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Parrish, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury, MA.
Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richard’s Avenue, Paxton MA.

we extend our condolences to George and family and to Theresa Lorraine and Marshall. She was a lovely person and glad to have consider her our friend! we have many good memories of times we spent together. She will be remembered in our prayers.

Aunt Madeleine was the best there is. She will be missed by so many. We pray for God to give you strength Uncle George, David, Lisa, Jimmy, Joanne and Terrie. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
