Maria E. Forbing

November 17, 1955 ~ January 04, 2021

The world lost a beloved mother, wife, and friend Maria Forbing, on January 4th, 2021. Maria battled lung cancer for two years, but it did not break her positive attitude. Maria always carried a smile no matter her situation.
Maria was born in Bogota Colombia on November 17th, 1955. Maria worked as a beauty supervisor at Walgreens for 35 years. Her coworkers and customers knew her kind and warm soul, always spreading her cheerful spirit.
Maria died in her home peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Maria was wife to Percy Forbing and mother to Amanda Forbing.
Maria’s biggest joy in life was caring and being with her family. Maria cared for others before herself and was a mother to all. Anyone who knew Maria was touched by her gentle, kind and compassionate nature. Heaven has received a beautiful angel.

Maria,

You have touched my life with beauty that is difficult to express in words. When I think of our friendship; I am reminded of the patience, compassion, and gentleness of Jesus. You’re openness to caring for others drew people to you, naturally. I am blessed with many memories of our times together, and I thank God he arranged our paths to cross.
With love and a smile…

Maria
You are one of the kindest and nicest person I have had the chance to know. I will always be grateful to how much you cared for Mom and the kindness you showered me with after Mom’s passing. To Amanda and Percy I am so sorry for your loss, may you find peace knowing how many people were touched by Maria’s kind, gentle spirit. I will miss her, but I know she is resting in peace.

Maria was very special for all of us, she was always in our prayers and hearts. Amanda and Percy will always be close friends to us, and specially Percy being like a second father and Amanda as a big sister to me, Valentina. Maria was like a second mother to Valentina and a close friend. When you both came to Colombia it was an excellent experience as well, because we got to spend time with both of you (Amanda and Maria) building a beautiful bond. We send you all our love. Thank you all for every single moment, experience and every lesson. Maria will be forever in our hearts and memories. The greatest and caring woman, Maria. Rest in Peace. Te amamos Maria, eres un angelito más en el cielo que protegerá a Amanda, Percy, los perritos, Peanut, y sus seres queridos. Gracias por dejarnos tantas enseñanzas y una marca en nuestra vida, para siempre. ❤️

To Percy and Amanda,
I have always considered you family. How precious now are the many holiday dinners we shared.
Maria was a dear friend of mine. For the last 16 years we have raised our daughters together, buried sisters, and lost mothers. At the end of those dark days there were always our husbands, our children, and our friends to see us through, talk things over, make us laugh, make us smile, and that friend was Maria. So thank you Maria for so many good times and being there when I needed a you.
Maria could always light up the room in her subtle way. That light, I will miss but never forget.
Amanda you were her pride and joy and she has taught you well. Be strong honey. We are here for you.
Percy you were the love of her life and you showed her that everyday. You were there for each other. That’s love. Be proud.
Maria’s family was everything to her. But come Sunday, She looked for her church family to help her, “get her soul right.” I know she prepared well.
That gives me peace.
Amanda and Percy, we are here for you. We love you. God bless you both and give you strength to carry on without her.

All our love,
Michele and
The Klager Family

Maria, You are one of the sweetest and kindest people I have known. Your love for and dedication to your family was evident to all. You were always willing to help others, even when you had more than enough of your own tasks to complete. You will be dearly missed and I feel blessed to have known you.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
