Mary Ellen Strzepek

Mary Ellen Provasoli Strzepek died peacefully at home on Sunday September 6th 2020 in Vero Beach, FL.

Mary Ellen was a woman of faith, family, and friends, in that order. As a born again Christian, Mary Ellen’s dedication to understanding, deepening, and communicating God’s word was felt by hundreds. To meet her eyes was to gain opportunity of landing in her prayers. To spend time with her in study was to bare witness to the Spirit in action.

Mary Ellen was the biological mother to 4 sons, Greg, Dan, Glenn and Paul. She was also the surrogate “Mama Bear” to many, many more. As a single mom she saw the needs of those needing support, guidance, care, and understanding. Whether it was a place to sleep, a stern talking to when out of line, some pocket money, encouragement in passing at the store, or prayer, Mom was there, and is, for all of us. She never judged us. She simply tucked us under her wing until the storm passed.

Mary Ellen was a great friend. She was a founding member of what became the Yaya’s, a group of women, devout in their faith, that welcomed many into their fold to celebrate their connection to God, have fun, laugh, cry, and care for one another. To be Mary Ellen’s friend didn’t mean you were the same as her, many have commented that they were quite different than she was. Nonetheless, you felt her fierce and fun friendship evident as the leading edge of her being.

Mary Ellen is survived by her 4 sons, her brothers Robert and Rico, her granddaughters Elanna and Noelle, her loving partner Jack, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, and the hundreds of individuals she touched through faith.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations are made to the hospice care team from the Visiting Nurses Association that took such great care of Mary Ellen. The nonprofit can be reached at vnatc.org. In lieu of, the family welcomes donations to other nonprofits that serves your community.

My deepest condolences to all the family and friends.
I had the good fortune of working with both Glenn and Paul many years ago when they were young men.
They are both a shining testament to her motherhood. She sounds like a wonderful glowing being.
May she fare well in her new journey! ❤️❤️

Mary Ellen had some interesting men in her life and she chose to be close to especially you, her four sons. She loved you very much and went through your trials and happy times with you. May your memories be helpful in your mourning time and beyond. There was only ONE Mary Ellen.
We know where she is and HE is well pleased.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
