Nelda Mae Walsh

August 03, 1946 ~ December 16, 2023

Nelda Mae Walsh, 77 passed away on December 16th in Vero beach Florida, surrounded by her loved ones. She is the Daughter of Thomas Joseph Walsh and Nelda Mae Phero.

Nelda is survived by her three daughters, Brenda L Waddell, Sheri L Albritton, and Terri R Mitts; her five sisters, Theo, Patty, Linda, Barbara, Deborah, and one brother Tommy. Along with her 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Nelda Mae Walsh was preceded in death by her son Bruce Frazier Boehl.

Nelda Mae Walsh was born in Camden, New Jersey. Her parents moved to Pompano Florida where her and her siblings were raised. Nelda raised her children in Vero Beach, Florida. She went to Fort Pierce College and graduated with her LPN Nursing License. She worked for a Pediatrician, then moved on to working for a family doctor for many years at the Doctors Clinic. Nelda was VNA nurse of the year when she worked for them. Nelda went on to being a nurse liaison for many years as she helped and cared for so many people. She volunteered her time selflessly. She volunteered at her church of Saint Helens. Over and above that, she volunteered during the holidays giving thanksgiving dinner, Christmas trees, and gifts for children. Our mother was truly a devoted Nurse. But above all, she was a caring and special person. She was the light of our lives and instilled her values into us all. Her family and friends will miss her dearly. But she will live on in our hearts forever.

My deepest condolences to her beloved family… Nelda was so devoted to her family and she worked passionately for those in need, and for her animal family. May you find comfort and blessings, Nelda, wrapped in the wings of your angels.

Nelda was beautiful she looked so much like Mom. We always had fun at our weekend family gatherings, she always had a way of making me laugh. When Wanda passed away it was so sweet when Nelda, Sherri, Linda & Theo came to support me during my grief. Early in life I was able to help babysit her children. Put the plumbing in her first house in Vero. It meant alot when she’d call me, especially on my birthdays. Catching up on all the family news and sharing laughter. I was so glad we were able to speak to each other before she became ill. I love you Nelda, will deeply miss you. Your only little brother, Tommy. Now it’s time for you to rest knowing you did so many good things, not just for family but for those in need. Love you sis.

I’m so thankful for all the time I got to spend with my grandmother, she taught me everything I needed to know about animals and gardening but above all she taught me how to put others first.
Love you Grandma

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
