Niza Kathryn Durfee

Niza Kathryn Durfee of Fellsmere Florida was received into Heaven on August 22nd, 2023.

Niza was born in Charleston, West Virginia on August 21st, 1962. Mary Frances Smith was her mother. Niza was married to Timothy L. Durfee.

Niza was the foundation for her family. Niza to some and Nana to many. Niza was known for her kind, funny, creative, and extremely thoughtful nature. Niza brought all of us joy with her beautiful spirit.

Niza is survived by her loving husband Timothy L. Durfee and their children Brian Smith, Jennifer Smith, Jessica Smith, Aubrey Smith, Zach Durfee, Alainna Durfee, Sam Durfee, Jenny Durfee, Jason Durfee, Isabela Durfee, Joseph Durfee, Aliah Durfee, Jon Durfee and Timmy Durfee. Niza was preceded in death by her daughter April Dawn Smith and her mother Mary Frances Smith.

Niza had a deep connection to her faith and Central assembly of God as an active member.

Niza enjoyed fishing, the Florida Keys and taking great care of her 16 grandchildren Raegan Durfee, Grace Durfee, Maddie Durfee, Sophia Durfee, Zoe Durfee, Luke Durfee, Leo Durfee, Vanessa Reascos, Isaac Reascos, Amelia Smith, AJ Smith, Lilly Smith, Zoee Smith, Olivia Smith, Ripley Smith, and Kyrie Durfee. Nana will be missed more than words can explain.

Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days.
