Nunzio “Al” Joseph Aliberti

September 04, 1938 ~ August 15, 2026

Nunzio “Al” Joseph Aliberti, 87, of West Melbourne, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, at the Ardi R. Copas Veterans Home.
Al was born on September 4, 1938, in Portland, Maine to Sabata Aliberti and Mary Aliberti.

He grew up in New York; however he spent most of his adult life living in Lewiston, Maine until he moved to West Melbourne in 2011.

Al had many interests in his life. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a tank commander. His professional career was as a Machinist then in Sales/Marketing. He very much enjoyed negotiating a great deal; often saying “get the best for the least amount of money”. Al enjoyed the ocean, boating, walking the neighborhood, chatting with friends and eating great Italian food. He said no one could make eggplant parmesan better than his mother.

Anyone who met Al will remember him for his sense of humor, charm and larger than life presence. He had the ability to make anyone he met feel like an old friend. We’ll never forget Al’s famous advice on life, “We are only here for a cup of coffee”.
Hopefully you were one of the many fortunate ones who heard Al sing his favorite song, “My Way” by Frank Sinatra. For Al, the lyrics embodied the essence of his life journey.

Al is survived by his loving wife, Janet Aliberti; son, Alan Aliberti and wife Lori; daughter, Michele Aliberti and her husband, Ken; three stepchildren, Scott Bolduc and wife, Jennifer, Kelly Bolduc Freitas and husband, Thomas and Todd Bolduc and wife, Tracie; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Antoinette (Toni) Simon, and Brother, Sam Aliberti and his wife, Stephanie; several brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; also many special neighbors and friends; and “His Special Little Buddy”, Bandit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Gracie.

No Services to be held at this time.

Every time I ran into you and Al he made me laugh…he always had an ability to make everyone feel he was genuinely happy to see you…even if there was a little sass to go with it

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
