Patricia Mitryk

March 08, 1956 ~ June 04, 2026

Patricia Mitryk, age 70, of Vero Beach Florida passed away on June 4th, 2026 from complications with cancer.

Pat was born in Newark, NJ on March 8th, 1956 to Leon and Joan Mitryk.  She was a resident of Vero Beach for 6 years but lived in Trenton, Asbury Park and Interlaken NJ prior to moving to Florida.  Pat graduated from Burlington Township High School and went on to earn degrees from Trenton State and George Washington University.

Pat was an independent and accomplished person.  Born in New Jersey, she lived in Interlaken before moving to Florida and buying a sailboat, Galileo, and living on it for 6 years.  Pat became a loved member of the sailing community and earned her Merchant Marine Captains license.  She even earned a diesel mechanics certification to maintain her boat.  She has sailed to the Bahamas, one of the many sailing expeditions she had planned.  Pat enjoyed playing sports. She loved playing pickleball, was an accomplished tennis player and coached a basketball team at the Katzenbach School for the Deaf. Pat earned Masters degrees in Business Administration and Program Management which she employeed in her IT career.

Pat was a kind and loving person and was unwavering in the pursuit of her goals and ideals.  Pat has more good friends than anyone I know, a true testament to her character, and will be sorely missed by friends and family alike.  Pat’s life was cut way too short as she was nowhere near finished living life to the fullest.  We will all miss her drive, courage and compassion.
Pat is survived by her brothers, Michael and Jeffrey an is  predeceased by her Mother Joan, Father Leon and brothers Anthony and Steven.

I am deeply sorry to hear this news. I went to High School with Pat in Burlington Township, NJ and will always remember her as kind and generous and caring. She was an excellent tennis player and was deeply loved by her classmates. May She Rest In Peace.

I went to high school with Pat and lived “down the street” from her. She was always a kind person and talented athlete. I am happy to hear she was able to fulfill some of her sailing dreams. I can truly see her doing that. Rest well, Pat.

I had just met Pat this year, introduced by fellow Sailors. She was a kindred spirit, whose company I very much enjoyed. My condolences to her family. Fair Winds and following Seas, Pat.

I worked with Pat for several years at AT&T in New Jersey. But I don’t remember her for her work. I remember her for her integrity, and courage to speak up for what she thought was right. Whenever she came to me for help on a problem, her approach was well-reasoned, and communicated clearly, with an abiding commitment to her position. Her passion for living her best life was obvious! Reading of her time in Florida since, I’m sad that her time was so short, but happy that it was so fulfilling.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
