She was predeceased by her husband, Bob, brother-in-law Fred DuBose, sister-in-law Betty DuBose, parents, sister Beverly Turbyfill and brother Carroll Roberts.

One of her favorite pastimes was spending time in the mountains of North Carolina when not playing golf at Dodger Pines, tending to her flowers, and lunch at the Ocean Grill. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vero Beach, Beta Sigma Phi sorority, church committees at First Baptist, Vero Beach Boat Club, Garden Club, and PTA at numerous Indian River County Schools.

Some of my favorite memories are spending spring break with Merry and our gang in her home. She always made me feel welcomed and introduced me to fresh squeezed OJ.
I felt honored to drive her huge car for her sometime during Merry’s wedding to Pat Cobb. She will be remembered has someone who was always smiling and her joy was contagious.

My sincere thoughts and prayers to the family,

I loved Pat and we always had so much fun in the church kitchen. There was never a dull moment when she was around. She will be missed and never forgotten.

Will miss her indeed,

Dear DuBose Family,
Sending you “all” our sincere sympathy and love. Mrs. DuBose was a lovely lady, and always had a wonderful laugh and smile. Mr. And Mrs. DuBose hold a special place in my heart, and good memories from working in the store and sitting behind them at church in our “assigned seating”.
With love, Joan & Rick Baker

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
