Paul H. Nicholson, 80, died peacefully on January 19, 2023 in Vero Beach, FL, surrounded by his family. He was born in Syracuse, NY and resided there for much of his life. Paul was a graduate of Le Moyne College where he played baseball and earned a degree in Business Administration.
His fun-loving, warm and genuine personality created many lasting friendships wherever he went. Paul made it a priority to maintain the special bonds he had with his lifelong friends and always valued the times they shared together.
Paul loved the outdoors, especially, skiing, boating, fishing and golfing with his family and friends. He enjoyed watching sports, including Syracuse basketball and the Buffalo Bills, but most of all he treasured attending the sporting events of his three grandsons.
He always felt fortunate to have found the job of his dreams as a manufacturer’s representative in the fishing tackle and outdoor industry, which involved frequent travel to various sporting destinations. After retiring, he and his wife spent much of their leisure time traveling throughout the U.S. and abroad. In addition, they lived several months of the year in Vero Beach, FL where they formed many close and wonderful friendships at the Indian River Club.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Jo-Anne of 49 years, his two children, Lindsay and Michael (Casey), three grandsons Ty, Beckham and Campbell, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the VNA Hospice House, 901 37th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

I was saddened to hear of Paul’s passing. We spent a lot of great times together at TFG. My fondest were of fishing with him in Key West and our golf bets of $1 over the years. Paul was well respected in our industry by not only his customers and factories but his competitors. He was as they say a mans man.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. RIP Paul
