Phil Henning

October 09, 1935 ~ September 09, 2022

Phil Henning 86 years old from Fort Pierce, Florida passed on Friday, September 9th, 2022 at 3:15 pm. Phil’s natural death was influenced by his weakened heart and later stage of dementia.

Phil was born in Chicago on October 9th, 1935 and grew up there, raising his family. He moved his family of seven children to Roselle, Illinois in 1970. Phil was the general manager for the Lord Label company for over 20 years. In 1984 Phil and Kay moved to Arlington, Texas where he worked as a maintenance manager for the Dallas American Cancer Society for 11 years when he retired. They moved in 1999 to Fort Pierce to enjoy the weather, new friends and the fruits of their labor.

Phil is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart with 67 years of marriage. Phil and Kay are proud parents of Philip 3rd, Joseph, Thomas, Kim Marie, Michael, Kenneth and Richard. He was a very proud grandfather of Matthew, Robert, Morgan Claire, Jessica, Jaclyn, Richard, Max, Lex, Amanda, Liana and Alexandra. Phil also enjoyed time with his great grandchildren Marley, Liam, Culum, Coral Ann, Rosalie, Riley, Anara and Wyatt.

The Henning family’s celebration of life occurred during the past few months as Phil’s health deteriorated, allowing them to visit and enjoy time while he was active. His ashes will be taken back to Chicago to rest in his parent’s Catholic cemetery plot at a later date this year.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
