Phillip L. Milton (48) of St. Johns, Michigan (most recently residing in Vero Beach, Florida) passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2024.
Phillip was born to Donny L Milton and Sharon L (Calhoun) Milton on December 1, 1975 in Lansing Michigan. He was predeceased by his mother Sharon and only brother, Ronald E Milton. Surviving are his two children, Kyle (Emilee) Milton and Brooke Milton; one grandson, Donald Irwin as well as his father, Donny.
Phillip graduated from St. John High school class of 1994 and attended Scottsdale Culinary School ( Le Cordon Bleu ) class of 1996. In addition he received his bachelors degree in computer science from University of Tampa.
Phillip was known as Chef Phil to many as he spent endless hours in the kitchen perfecting his craft including working along side some great chefs and mentoring others along the way. Chef worked in many fine dining country clubs, resorts and restaurants before opening his own restaurants in Pittsburgh and Detroit.
After 9/11 he took a pause in his career as a chef to serve in the US Army as an infantry man, he received an honorable discharge with many service awards including Global War on Terrorism and the National Defense Service Award. Phillip will be laid to rest at Jacksonville national cemetery.
