Raymond Joseph Meyers Jr., 72, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away December 1, 2023, at the VNA Hospice House.
He was born October 12, 1951, in Newark, NJ and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 2012, coming from Frelinghuysen, NJ.
Mr. Meyers graduated from Our Lady of the Valley High School, and served as a reservist with the United States Marine Corps. He worked 45 years with Verizon and retired in 2012 as a manager.
Mr. Meyers served as a board member of North Warren Regional High School and was a wrestling coach. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach. He enjoyed playing pool, offshore fishing and watching the Green Bay Packers.
He leaves his memories to be cherished by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Meyers; son, Raymond Charles Meyers of New Jersey; daughter, Stephanie (Eric) McGrath of California; and grandchildren, Brooke McGrath, Adalynn McGrath and Raymond A. Meyers. He was predeceased by his brother, Donald Meyers and sister, Cindy Meyers.
Memorial donations may be made to the VNA & Hospice Foundation, 920 37th Place #101, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
